After the plenary sitting in Gulu, Speaker Anita Among paid a courtesy call on General Salim Saleh, a key figure in the revitalisation of Northern Uganda through innovative wealth creation projects.

Accompanied by the Government Chief Whip and other officials, Speaker Among commended Gen Saleh for his dedication to uplifting the region and improving the quality of life for its residents.

Their meeting underscored the collaboration between the legislative and executive branches, with Speaker Among assuring Saleh of Parliament's support in ensuring that communities in Northern Uganda benefit fully from his initiatives.

"Agro-industrialisation, which Gen. Saleh is passionate about, is a great strategy for bringing this part of the country into the money economy and fast-tracking post-war recovery," Ms Among said.

During their discussion, the Speaker highlighted the importance of agro-industrialization in General Saleh's agenda, noting its potential to drive economic growth and accelerate post-war recovery in the region.

This strategic approach aligns with the broader vision of sustainable development and economic empowerment that both the Speaker and General Saleh are committed to advancing.

The Speaker reaffirmed Parliament's commitment to fostering partnerships and promoting holistic development, emphasizing the importance of collective action in achieving shared goals of prosperity and well-being for all communities.

By aligning legislative support with on-the-ground initiatives, the path towards inclusive growth and sustainable prosperity becomes clearer, offering hope for a brighter future for the people of Northern Uganda, Karamoja, and other regions facing similar challenges.

The collaboration between governmental bodies, local leaders, and community members is essential in driving positive change and building a resilient and prosperous society for generations to come.
