The African Development Bank Group, the Aliko Dangote Foundation, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and the Rockefeller Foundation are hosting a roundtable discussion on the theme: "Leveraging the African Development Bank Group and Philanthropies' Strengths and Capital to Seize Africa's Opportunities for a Prosperous, Inclusive, and Resilient Continent" to be held on 26 September 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, in New York, and available on livestreaming on our Youtube and LinkedIn channels.
Organized on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, this event, chaired by AfDB President Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina alongside Mr. Aliko Dangote, Founder of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Sir Chris Hohn Chair of Board and Founder Member of CIFF, and the Senior Vice President of the Rockefeller Foundation Dr. Roy Steiner, aims to present and discuss the respective approaches, strengths, and comparative advantages of the Bank and Philanthropies in driving sustainable development initiatives in Africa, including climate change, job creation, youth and women empowerment, health, and governance.
