The African Development Bank will hold the 9th edition of the Africa Energy Market Place (AEMP) in Tanzania from 16-17 October 2024, under the theme "Delivering the Clean Cooking Initiative and National Energy Access Goals."

The conference provides a platform for government institutions, development partners and the private sector to exchange ideas on advancing sector reforms, promoting sustainable growth, and catalyzing investments in Tanzania's energy sector. It will also serve as a critical forum for policy dialogue, gathering stakeholder input on delivering the country's National Clean Cooking Initiative and Energy Access goals, where the Tanzanian National Renewable Energy Strategy (2024-2034) will be launched.

Most importantly, the AEMP Tanzania will serve as an input to the Presidential Africa Energy Summit scheduled to take place in Dar Es Salaam in January 2025.

The two-day conference will feature plenary sessions and roundtables designed to facilitate decision-making while fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration among participants.
