Uganda: Nabbanja Shows Off Global Award Tabled in Parliament.

Uganda's Parliament has erupted in applause for Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja after she bagged a prestigious global award, shining a spotlight on the country's hardworking fisher women.

The MPs, the achievement underscores Nabbanja's leadership prowess and her role as a mentor to many leaders, particularly Ugandan women.

"I am honored to receive this award, not just for myself, but for the incredible women of Uganda who work tirelessly to make a difference in their communities," Nabbanja said.

The Prime Minister attributed her international recognition to the collective efforts of the government, cabinet, and Ugandan citizens.

In a gesture of appreciation, she tabled the award on the parliamentary floor, dedicating it to President Museveni, Cabinet of Uganda, Parliament, staff of OPM, Women of Uganda and the voters of Kakumiro.

To other MPs the milestone is a testament to Uganda's progress in promoting women's empowerment and leadership. As Nabbanja noted, "This award is not just a recognition of my work, but a celebration of the resilience and determination of Ugandan women."
