The African Development Bank Group, in partnership with the Federation for Egyptian Industries and the Chamber of Food Industries, will host the exclusive Food Industries Investment Forum in Cairo on October 7, 2024.

The forum, themed "Collaborating for Business Development," will bring together top 30-35 Egyptian food producing companies for critical discussions on market trends, financing opportunities, and steps towards enhancing the positioning of Egyptian food industries regionally and globally.

It will feature a presentation on food market trends, an overview of AfDB's plans and financing tools, insights from partner financial institutions, as well as networking opportunities and B2B meetings. It aims to foster dialogue between industry leaders and financial institutions, explore expansion and export opportunities, and discuss the African Development Bank's support for the food processing sector in Egypt.

The African Development Bank will be represented by Abdourahmane Diaw, Country Manager for Egypt, Fernando Rodriquez, Regional Lead for non-sovereign operations and Ghada Abuzaid, Principal Industrial coordinator for non-sovereign operations.

The event will be followed by exclusive investment clinics for pre-selected companies meeting specific criteria to present . Further details will be provided to eligible participants.
