When: December 3, 2024, 8 AM - 5 PM (Morocco Time)

The African Development Bank will host Export Credit Insurers and Agencies Day on 3 December to provide partners with a better understanding of our project development and approval processes, as well as the importance of our preferred creditor status, which helps maintain the strength and quality of our sovereign loan portfolio.
The African Development Bank is working to mobilise the private sector, including institutional investors and financiers. Risk mitigation and credit enhancement mechanisms provide an important lever to mobilise private sector financing and build in additional flexibility to attract more investors. Ongoing dialogue with stakeholders is essential to strengthening partnerships.
In addition to engaging with insurers and institutional investors, the Bank recognizes the significance of export credit agencies in supporting projects across various sectors in Africa. Projects involving the import of essential goods and services could greatly benefit from close and coordinated collaboration between the Bank and export credit agencies.
Why Participate?
- To better understand the Bank's risk management framework and financial policies, project development and approval processes, as well as the benefits of its preferred creditor status.
- To learn how to contribute to the Bank's balance sheet optimization and mobilization ambitions.
- To discover more about the Bank's multi-instrument approaches with insurers and asset managers through syndication, guarantees, and innovative new risk-sharing structures to support sovereign and non-sovereign loans.
