Uganda: Katikkiro Mayiga Offers Key Advice for a Prosperous 2025

1 January 2025

As Ugandans usher in the new year, Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of Buganda, has shared five guiding principles for personal and collective growth in 2025.

Mayiga began his message by emphasizing the importance of health, both physical and mental. "Mind your health, both physical and mental," he urged, highlighting that well-being is the foundation for achieving success in all aspects of life.

He also encouraged Ugandans to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship.

"Think of an idea that can translate into money. Money follows an idea; money doesn't generate money," Mayiga explained, stressing that financial success is rooted in creativity and practical problem-solving.

Turning ideas into reality, Mayiga advised, requires unwavering passion and dedication.

"Implement the idea with your heart, soul, and mind," he said, underlining that full commitment is essential for turning aspirations into achievements.

Patience was another cornerstone of Mayiga's message. He called on Ugandans to remain steadfast and composed, noting that success is a journey that requires calm perseverance.

"Be calm and patient," he said, encouraging resilience in the face of challenges.

Finally, the Katikkiro urged Ugandans to seek divine guidance through prayer.

"Pray for strength and wisdom as you embark on the challenges of the year," he advised, stressing the importance of faith in navigating life's uncertainties.

Mayiga's message, rooted in values of health, innovation, dedication, patience, and spirituality, serves as a blueprint for those striving for a successful and prosperous 2025.
