The African Development Bank Group will unveil its Annual Development Effectiveness Report (ADER) 2025, entitled "Sustaining Resilience and Driving Transformation in Africa," on Tuesday, 27 May, during its 2025 Annual Meetings in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.

Published annually, the report assesses the Bank Group's progress in advancing sustainable development across the continent. It evaluates the impact of the Bank's operations through its "High 5" strategic priorities, which are at the core of Africa's transformation: Light Up and Power Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa, and Improve the Quality of Life for the People of Africa.

Amidst global economic turbulence, geopolitical tensions, rising conflict, and increasing climate-related pressures, Africa continues to demonstrate notable resilience. The ADER 2025 reviews the results of 2024 -- the first year of implementing the Bank's new Ten-Year Strategy (2024-2033) -- and highlights the institution's tangible contributions to the continent's development.

This edition also marks the first publication under the Bank's new Results Management Framework (2024-2033), introducing a more strategic, focused, and impact-driven approach to monitoring and reporting the Bank's results.

The presentation of the report will provide an opportunity for the institution to outline to its governors, researchers, and public and private sector actors, as well as to members of civil society, the media, and other stakeholders, the major achievements within the framework of its "High 5" strategic priorities, which are steering Africa's transformation.

The full report will be available on the 2025 Annual Meetings and African Development Bank websites.
