The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and the Club de Madrid (CdM) would like to invite you to a joint side event under the theme: "Driving Africa's Economic Future: Digital Transformation for Inclusive Growth and Governance", to be held on the sidelines of the 2025 Annual Meetings.

Date: Tuesday, 27 May 2025

Time: 14:45 - 15:45 GMT

Venue : Salle des Fêtes, Sofitel Hotel, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire

This event aims to foster high-level dialogue on Africa's digital transformation, emphasizing its role in economic inclusion, governance, and job creation. It will explore how digital transformation can accelerate economic growth, enhance governance, and drive financial inclusion across Africa. It will also provide a platform to explore policy coordination, investment strategies, and technology-driven solutions that can accelerate Africa's digital economy.

By convening key stakeholders, the discussions will highlight investment opportunities, address regulatory challenges, and promote public-private partnerships (PPPs) to scale up digitalization efforts.

The high-level forum will bring together Bank governors, finance ministers, African Central Bank governors, former heads of governments (CdM members), leaders from multilateral institutions, policymakers, private sector representatives and much more.
