Kenya: Safaricom Named Africa's Most Admired Brand At 2025 Brand Africa Awards

Nairobi — Safaricom PLC has been named the Most Admired Brand in Africa at the 2025 Brand Africa Awards, marking the second consecutive year the company has received the top recognition.

The awards, established in 2010, are based on independent research and consumer surveys conducted across the continent. They aim to spotlight brands that drive competitiveness and development in Africa through innovation, service delivery, and social impact.

In addition to the top award, Safaricom received four other accolades, including Most Admired Brand in Telecommunications, Most Admired African Brand Contributing to a Better Africa, Most Admired African Brand Doing Good for Society and the Environment, and the Grand Prix Award for overall brand excellence with a focus on sustainability and impact.

The recognition comes as Safaricom marks its 25th anniversary, a period during which it has expanded its services beyond Kenya, particularly in the areas of mobile money, data, and voice services.

Brand Africa noted that Safaricom's strong performance across multiple categories reflects the brand's influence and visibility in African markets, as well as its contributions toward social and environmental causes.

The awards were part of Brand Africa's broader initiative to promote African-led brands that contribute to economic growth and societal development on the continent.
