Uganda: 14 Suspects in June 28 Robbery Spree to Face Court Today-Police

Fourteen suspects accused of attacking and robbing members of the public in Kampala on June 28 are set to appear this morning before the Chief Magistrate's Court at the Law Development Centre (LDC), police have confirmed.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the suspects are currently detained at Wandegeya Police Station and are facing multiple charges related to robbery and assault.

"The 14 suspects detained at Wandegeya Police Station on allegations of attacking and robbing members of the public on 28th June 2025 will be arraigned this morning before the Chief Magistrate's Court at LDC," Owoyesigyire said in a statement on Monday.

He also revealed that another 16 suspects linked to similar incidents remain in custody at the Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala, where they are still undergoing processing.

The police have not yet disclosed the identities of the suspects or the specific locations where the alleged attacks took place, but investigations are ongoing.
