An 18-year-old Southlea Park woman has been jailed for 15 years following her conviction for sexually assaulting her husband's suspected lover with a wooden cooking stick.
Tinotenda Majangara was jailed by a Mbare magistrate who ruled that her actions calls for a lengthy period behind bars.
The magistrate noted that Majangara is a mother of 10-month-old twins, but the gravity of her offence can be equated to rape.
Majangara was convicted of assault and indecent assault.
The complainant is aged 17 and resides in Southlea Park as well.
The court heard that on May 18, Majangara teamed up with her sister, Linda Majangara and her friend, Vanesa Maseza and went to the complainant's house, where they knocked on the door.
"The accused person opened the door and they entered into the room and the accused person tore the complainant's black shorts and light green pants and pierced her private parts with a cooking stick," read court papers.
The complainant was referred to the hospital for medical examination.
They also assaulted her with open hands and stepped on her neck, inflicting injuries.
The court ruled she had no authority to take the law into her hands.
