Uganda's business community has been recognized for its pivotal role in job creation and national development during the People's Choice Quality Awards, held yesterday at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

The event, which brought together leading companies and entrepreneurs, celebrated businesses that have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and commitment to serving Ugandan communities.

Officiating as chief guest, the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Betty Amongi, applauded the private sector for complementing government efforts in creating employment opportunities. She emphasized that business-led job creation not only boosts the economy but also promotes social stability.

"When people are meaningfully engaged in work, they are less likely to engage in crime or destructive behavior. I thank the organizers of these awards for their consistency, and I applaud the business community for creating jobs for Ugandans. The government is proud of you," Amongi note.

The awards also highlighted individual companies that have stood out in their respective industries. Horeb Services Uganda Limited was among those honored. Its Managing Director, Ezera Mugisha, attributed the recognition to teamwork and resilience.

"I am thankful to God for yet another award. This recognition is a result of the hard work we put in every day and the professionalism of our team. Being appreciated by clients is a serious achievement, and we don't take it for granted," Mugisha remarked, noting that despite challenges in the business environment, Horeb Services has continued to distinguish itself as a sector leader.

Other recognized companies included Sums, ICEA LION Uganda, Uganda Baati, and Ba Kayima, among others. Uganda Baati was celebrated for Best Excellence and Best Roofing Sheets Brand.

"This recognition is proof of the confidence Ugandans place in our brand. We remain committed to quality, innovation, and reliability as we continue delivering the best to our customers and the wider community," Miremembe noted.
