When: 7-9 October 2025

Where: Lusaka, Zambia

The African Development Fund (ADF) will hold its 4th Technical Meeting for the upcoming 17th replenishment.

The fund is the concessional financing window of the African Development Bank Group. It provides vital resources to 37 low-income and fragile African countries, supporting climate resilience, regional integration, private sector development, and governance reforms.

The Lusaka meeting will convene development partners, governments of ADF recipient countries, and Bank Group leadership to advance discussions on the priorities and financing framework of the 17th replenishment. Delegates will also take part in field visits to ADF-financed projects in Zambia, offering insight into results and impact on the ground.

This meeting will be the first ADF-17 engagement attended by the new president of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Sidi Ould Tah. It comes at a decisive point in the replenishment cycle, as partners work together to ensure that the fund continues to deliver strong development impact across Africa and shared returns globally.

The final meeting and pledging session for ADF-17 will take place in December 2025.
