Uganda: Coca-Cola Beverages - Uganda Earns Bronze Employer of the Year Award

Kampala, Uganda — Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) has been honoured with the Bronze Employer of the Year Award by the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE), recognising the company's outstanding contribution to job creation and entrepreneurship in the country.

The FUE, the officially accredited body representing Ugandan employers at the International Labour Organisation's Annual Labour Conference, serves as the national voice of employers on key social and economic issues both locally and internationally.

CCBU, part of the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa group, earned the accolade following a detailed submission showcasing its employment and entrepreneurship initiatives. FUE further conducted a verification visit to confirm the company's impact.

CCBU employs more than 1,000 permanent and fixed-term staff, along with over 400 contractors across its four plants -- Namanve, Mbarara, Rwenzori, and Plastic Recycling Industries in Nakawa. Beyond direct employment, the company supports a broad network of business partners along its value chain, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation through shared resources and opportunities. This ecosystem approach helps stimulate economic growth and expand job creation across multiple sectors.
