Uganda: Baroda Batongola Nominated to Defend Kamuli Municipality MP Seat

The incumbent Member of Parliament for Kamuli Municipality, Baroda Batongola, has been officially nominated and cleared by the Electoral Commission to contest in the 2026 general elections.

Speaking to supporters after her nomination, Batongola expressed gratitude to the people of Kamuli Municipality for their continued trust and pledged to build on her achievements while focusing on essential services if re-elected.

"I am grateful for the confidence my people have shown in me. If you give me another mandate, I will continue working to ensure better roads, improved health care, and quality education for all residents of Kamuli Municipality," she said.

Batongola reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation and community development, noting her priority is to complete ongoing projects and initiate new programs aimed at improving livelihoods and infrastructure in the area.

She also encouraged her supporters to vote for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, praising his leadership and the development efforts of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

Her nomination has been met with excitement from supporters across Kamuli Municipality, who pledged to back her re-election bid, citing her record of hard work and dedication to the community.
