blog

On October 19, at around 1:30 PM, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) carried out an airstrike on Saraf Omra market, which is under Rapid Support Forces (RSF) control. The attack caused significant damage, including the destruction of shops and restaurants, and injuries to dozens of civilians.

According to eyewitnesses, a restaurant in the center of Saraf Omra market was destroyed. Following the airstrike, the RSF carried out arbitrary arrests among young people, accusing them of coordinating with the SAF.

The Darfur Human Rights Network (DNHR) condemns the airstrike and arbitrary arrests, calling on all parties to protect civilians and uphold international law.
