Uganda: Common Man Party's Moses Bigirwa Urges Abraham Luzzi to Prioritize Policy Over Personal Engagements

12 November 2025

Moses Bigirwa, Secretary General of the Common Man's Party, has advised Abraham Luzzi, a candidate for Kampala Central Division MP, to concentrate on policy issues rather than spending excessive time on political engagements.

Speaking on NBS Barometer, Bigirwa told Luzzi, "Don't give most of your time to Sarah Tall; dedicate time to political literature." His comments followed Luzzi's revelation that he had invested minimal resources into his campaign.

Bigirwa also criticized Luzzi's apparent unfamiliarity with key policy documents, noting, "Your submission on Barometer indicated that you haven't taken the time to read presidential candidates' manifestos."

He emphasized that a deep understanding of policy issues is essential for effectively representing constituents.

Luzzi's campaign has centered on accountability, transparency, and efficient governance, with a manifesto that includes proposals to increase the minimum wage, improve healthcare, and enhance infrastructure development.
