The World Bank Group and the African Development Bank Group, together with the Rockefeller Foundation, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), will host the inaugural Mission 300 Day on 25 November in Rabat, Morocco on the sidelines of the Africa Investment Forum Market Days (26-28 November).

Mission 300 is a World Bank Group and African Development Bank-led initiative working with African governments, the private sector, and development partners to extend electricity to an additional 300 million Africans by 2030.

Mission 300 Day will bring together African Ministers, investors, and development partners to showcase progress on National Energy Compacts, highlight high-potential, investment-ready projects, and demonstrate how reforms are accelerating efforts to connect 300 million people in Africa to electricity by 2030.

The event will feature updates on the National Energy Compacts of government ministers of Benin, Comoros, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Kenya, and Lesotho, highlighting these countries' reform momentum, partnership frameworks, emerging project pipelines, and transaction pathways.

The session will also offer investors a clear picture of where delivery is accelerating -- and where private capital has immediate opportunity to engage and deploy-- helping shape the conversations and dealmaking that will unfold at AIF.

Senior representatives of Mission 300 partners--the African Development Bank, the World Bank Group, the Rockefeller Foundation, SEforALL, and Global Energy Alliance--will be joined at the event by CEOs and executives from leading African and international investors and developers--including ACWA Power, AMEA Power, Arc Power, Cygnum Capital, EDF, Mirova, Scatec, Siemens Energy, and Sun King--as well as a range of development finance institutions (DFIs) and philanthropic partners.
