Reverand Canon Grace Lubaale was on Sunday consecrated as the fourth Bishop of Busoga Diocese during a ceremony held at Kyabazinga Stadium in Jinja City.

Lubaale replaces Rt Rev Paul Naimanhe, who has served as Bishop of Busoga Diocese for the past 10 years.

The consecration service was presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, and drew thousands of Christians from across the diocese and beyond.

The President of Uganda was represented at the function by the Vice President, Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Alupo. Also in attendance were the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Ruth Nankabirwa, the State Minister of Lands, Persis Namuganza, and other government and church leaders.

The ceremony marked a significant leadership transition for Busoga Diocese and was characterised by prayers, hymns, and expressions of unity within the Anglican Church.
