Uganda: Next Creata - When Creativity Becomes a Career

8 January 2026

Next Creata is kicking off the year with energy, ambition, and a bold vision for the future of young creatives.

In a fast-moving digital world, creativity is no longer just a hobby or a passion project. It has become a viable pathway to income, influence, and long-term opportunity.

Next Creata is positioning itself at the centre of this shift, equipping young people with the skills and confidence needed to turn creative talent into sustainable careers.

Designed as a full creator ecosystem, Next Creata offers more than training. It is a space where skills are learned, ideas are developed, and content is strategically distributed to the right audiences.

From content creation and curation to digital marketing and branding, the programme focuses on practical, in-demand digital skills that align with today's economy.

At the heart of the initiative is the Creata Hub, which provides both physical creative spaces and a virtual studio where creators can collaborate, experiment, and bring ideas to life.

Creators are further supported through Next Influencer, a platform that connects emerging talent to brands and real commercial opportunities.

Content distribution is powered by AfroMobile and UGATunes, ensuring creative work travels beyond creation to reach audiences, generate visibility, and create value.

Next Creata is deliberately hands-on. It prioritises real-world experience over theory, focusing on building confidence, visibility, and sustainable income streams through creativity.

The goal is not just content creation, but dignified job opportunities that allow young people to thrive in the digital economy.

As the year begins, Next Creata is opening applications for its first cohort. Young people aged 18 to 35 with ideas, ambition, and a desire to grow are encouraged to apply.

Applications close on January 23. For those ready to turn creativity into a career, Next Creata is where the journey begins.
