Tanzania: TVF Names 11 Commissioners to Drive Volleyball Growth Nationwide

The President of the Tanzania Volleyball Federation (TVF), Magoti Mtani, has appointed 11 commissioners to head key departments within the federation, a move aimed at strengthening governance, management and the overall development of volleyball across the country.

In a statement issued by the TVF Department of Information and Communication, Kepha Malecela was appointed Commissioner for Regional and Member Development, while Alpha B oniface will serve as Commissioner for Legal Affairs.

Other key appointments include Ford Edward as Commissioner for Coaches, Timothy Ligambazi as Commissioner for Referees and Abdul Magono as Commissioner for Beach Volleyball. Michael Kusekwa has been entrusted with the Children and Youth Development portfolio, while Happiness Henrico will oversee Player Development.

George Nyanga has been named Commissioner for Planning and Marketing and Julius Kombania continue in his role as Commissioner for Statistics and Research.

Mzee Mnumb i will lead the Information and Communication Department, while Siwema Mgeta takes charge as Commissioner for Women's Development. According to the statement, the appointments form part of TVF's strategic plan to strengthen volleyball programmes, enhance talent development and improve governance at all levels of the sport nationwide.

"Strengthening volleyball programmes is essential to improving the overall quality and competitiveness of the sport," the statement noted.

"By appointing capable and experienced individuals to key positions, TVF aims to ensure that training programmes, competitions and grassroots initiatives are well planned and effectively implemented." The statement further emphasised that strong leadership at national, regional and grassroots levels is critical in creating structured development pathways that allow players to progress steadily from beginner stages to elite competition.
