Tanzania: Airtel Tanzania Boosts Network Coverage in Three Regions

Shinyanga — Airtel Tanzania has today installed four new network towers in Mugungia - Singida (one tower), Mpunguzi - Dodoma (two towers), and Ngokoro - Shinyanga (one tower), significantly strengthening network coverage and improving access to mobile and internet services for communities in these areas.

Meanwhile, during the launch in Ngokoro, Shinyanga, Airtel Zonal Manager, Mr George Mwakabungu, underscored the positive impact the new site will have on daily life and community development.

"This tower will significantly improve communication in the Ngokoro area. Residents can now make calls reliably, use mobile services, and access the internet with ease. This will support business activities and improve access to information," he said.

Community members have also welcomed the development. A resident of Mbungia, Singida, described the new network as a turning point for local businesses.

"This is a great moment for our community. The arrival of Airtel's network here in Mbungia opens new opportunities for local businesses to grow beyond physical sales. With reliable connectivity, we can now market our products digitally, sell online, and reach wider markets to improve our livelihoods," he said.

Airtel Tanzania continues to prioritize network expansion as part of its commitment to digital inclusion, ensuring communities across the country can access reliable, affordable, and high-quality mobile and internet services. Through sustained infrastructure investments, Airtel remains focused on connecting people, empowering communities, and supporting national development.
