President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reaffirmed his commitment to peace, stability, and economic transformation following the formal declaration of his re-election as President of Uganda.

In a message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Museveni said he formally received the declaration of his re-election on Sunday, January 18. He expressed gratitude to God, First Lady Janet Museveni, members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), state institutions, party leaders, and Ugandans for standing for peace and stability during the electoral process.

Museveni outlined key priorities for his new term, saying his government will focus on safeguarding peace and security, eradicating household poverty, strengthening national unity, enforcing discipline in governance, and supporting wealth creators to grow the economy.

The President emphasized that Uganda will remain peaceful, stable, and firmly focused on progress as his administration implements its agenda.
