Uganda: Guinness Smooth Turns Silo Into a 'Make It Yours' Creative Hub

1 February 2026

Guinness Smooth brought its "Make It Yours" campaign to life in Kampala with a creative takeover at Silo in Bugolobi, transforming the popular venue into a vibrant hub for learning, digital creativity and entertainment.

The Guinness Smooth Experience, which is popping up at some of the city's most iconic bars, is designed to fuse fun with insight.

On this occasion, the experience was tailored specifically for creators in the digital space, drawing together content creators, influencers and creatives for an evening of knowledge sharing, networking and celebration.

A key highlight of the night was a masterclass led by Kampala-based digital expert Faisal Peypar, who guided attendees through the art of digital storytelling and influencer marketing.

He broke down how creators can build, maximise and monetise content in today's fast-evolving digital landscape.

During the session, Faisal explored core digital marketing concepts, including search engine optimisation, websites and social media algorithms.

He outlined what both brands and creators must prioritise to remain relevant and competitive, stressing the importance of maintaining a well-rounded digital presence rather than relying on a single platform.

On the subject of artificial intelligence, Faisal encouraged creators to embrace it as a supportive tool, particularly for scripting and idea generation.

He also advised creators to specialise by mastering platforms such as TikTok or Instagram instead of spreading themselves too thin, while offering practical insights into how social media algorithms function.

Speaking about the experience, Guinness Smooth Brand Manager Denise Nazzinda said, "Make It Yours is about meeting our consumers in their world and giving them the space to express themselves authentically. With experiences like this, we're going beyond the drink to create moments that inspire creativity, individuality and confidence, whether through learning, music or culture."

She added, "These in-bar experiences reinforce our commitment to encouraging consumers to be themselves, express themselves freely, and truly make every moment their own."

As the learning segment wrapped up, the night seamlessly transitioned into entertainment. DJ Mato set the tone with an energetic mix of Afro house, Afro pop, reggae and Afrobeats, before Lynda Ddane took over with a selection of classics and some of Uganda's biggest hits, keeping the energy high and the crowd engaged.

The Silo takeover forms part of Guinness Smooth's ongoing strategy to connect with consumers in their favourite spaces, delivering bold and memorable experiences that blend culture, conversation and the unmistakably smooth taste of Guinness.
