1 February 2026

Businessman Patrick Bitature, the Chairman of Simba Group of Companies, has urged Ugandan corporates and executives to adopt a long-term perspective and resilience in building personal brands that endure.

Bitature made the remarks during a personal branding masterclass organized by Lynn Tukei, Head of Public Relations and Communication at the Capital Markets Authority, held at Skyz Hotel Naguru in Kampala.

The event focused on understanding and strengthening personal brands through awareness of one's values, purpose, faith, and visibility.

"Doing good for people is important in building a personal brand, but it takes time. It doesn't happen overnight," Bitature said, highlighting the importance of consistency, integrity, and long-term commitment in brand building.

The masterclass explored the concept of personal branding as a strategic process that helps individuals manage their public image, showcase unique skills and experiences, establish authenticity, and influence perceptions in their field.

Bitature emphasized that strong personal branding differentiates professionals, accelerates career growth, attracts opportunities, and ensures lasting recognition of one's unique value.

In his closing remarks, Bitature urged participants to embrace purpose--the driving intention to achieve long-term goals that are personally meaningful and positively impact the world.

"When you ask people about the most important day in their lives, they often mention their birthday or wedding day. But the day you discover your purpose is truly the most important day of your life," he said.

The masterclass brought together communication executives and corporate leaders from various companies, providing practical insights on enhancing personal visibility, credibility, and influence in today's competitive business landscape.
