Luanda — The Communications Development Support Fund (FADCOM) will continue to focus on ongoing projects and promoting access to communications services for rural populations, said the institution's executive director, Lígia Vunge, on Tuesday in Luanda.
Speaking to the press conference following the ceremony to mark her inauguration, Vunge identified gaining an in-depth understanding of the institution and its work teams as an immediate priority to strengthen the fund's mission in the field of communications.
FADCOM, overseen by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies, and Social Communication, aims to promote access to communication services for rural populations and to develop the basic network to support most telecommunications networks.
The executive secretary of FADCOM, Arnaldo dos Santos, and the heads of the Radio and Press department of CEFOJOR, Judith Andenji, and of Television and Multimedia, Diogo Cuti, also took office alongside the administrator.
During the ceremony, the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Social Communication urged the newly appointed officials to prioritize teamwork to develop the country. ANM/QCB
