Kenya: Three Arrested in Thika West Phone Theft Crackdown

Nairobi — Police in Thika West Sub-County have arrested three men in connection with a series of mobile phone snatching incidents in the Jomoko area.

According to the National Police Service, officers from Ngoingwa Police Station intensified patrols after multiple complaints and tracked the suspects' movements along a suspected escape route.

A motorcycle carrying the three men, aged 22 to 24, was intercepted coming from Juja.

Police recovered a toy pistol believed to have been used to threaten victims.

The suspects told investigators they had traveled from Nairobi County to carry out the thefts.

They are now in custody as investigations continue, with police vowing to maintain operations to safeguard the public.
