Africa: AUC Chairperson Received H.E. @aprm_marierose, CEO of the African Peer Review Mechanism (@aprmorg)

H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the AU Commission, received H.E. @APRM_MarieRose, CEO of the African Peer Review Mechanism (@APRMorg) at the AU Headquarters this morning.

The Chairperson commended APRM's mandate in promoting democratic governance, transparency, & peer accountability across Member States, & applauded Amb. Rose & her team for the successful convening of the 35th APRM Forum on the margins of the 39th AU Assembly.

Amb. Rose briefed on progress toward establishing the Africa Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA), an AU-backed initiative to advance credible, context-responsive sovereign & corporate credit assessments.

The Chairperson reaffirmed the Commission's full support for the establishment an independent, African-owned credit rating architecture serving the continent's development priorities.
