Prophet Elvis Mbonye, a Ugandan religious figure known for issuing public prophecies, has claimed that he predicted a coordinated military strike against Iran's top leadership earlier this year.
In a recording dated January 20, 2026, Mbonye described witnessing "a strike on the leadership" of Iran, specifying that it would occur in mid-March and result in the death of the country's supreme authority.
"But come the month of March, I saw a strike coming from... a strike that hit the Iranian leadership in an assassination and there was no escaping this because it carried out what it was meant to carry out," Mbonye said in the clip, describing the nature and timing of the attack.
He added, "It was all intended not only to escalate what was going on on that part of the world but also to effect a revolution that I saw being planned to a greater seen years ago... You know he is not the lord of war. So He told me to pray because the outcome of it was destructive to innocent people."

Mbonye also commented on the unexpected timing in relation to global diplomacy, noting that the strike would appear sudden despite apparent de-escalation efforts.
"I will be telling you another of the things that I saw... one month and eight days later, global headlines confirmed Israel's announcement of the death of Ayatollah Khamenei following coordinated strikes by the US and Israel on the Iranian leadership sites," he said.
The events unfolded in mid-March 2026, when reports confirmed that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, had been killed following coordinated strikes by SS and Israeli forces.
The announcement, which included confirmation from former President Donald Trump, came just days after the US, Israel, and Iran held peace talks in Geneva.
Historical video footage shows that Mbonye has previously issued predictions concerning Middle East conflicts, including warnings related to Israeli strikes on Iranian interests and the Hamas conflict, dating back to January 2020 and January 2023.
The strikes and subsequent retaliatory actions intensified regional instability, with reports of attacks affecting US bases in Bahrain, the UAE, and Jordan, as well as heightened civilian risks across the region.
