Kenya: KTDA Appoints Enos Njeru As Board Chair

Nairobi — Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has appointed Enos Njeru as its new Board Chairman and Samson Mosonik Menjo as Deputy Chair.

The two take over from Chege Kirundi, the former Chair, and Omweno James Ombasa, the Vice Chair, whose terms have ended.

"The Board congratulates the newly elected Chairman and Vice Chairman, and also expresses its sincere appreciation to the outgoing leaders for their dedicated service to the Agency," KTDA said in a statement.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening corporate governance and safeguarding farmers' interests.

"KTDA Holdings remains committed to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, protecting farmers' value, and positioning Kenya's tea competitively in regional and international markets," the statement added.

KTDA manages the interests of small-scale tea farmers across the country, overseeing tea cultivation extension services, leaf collection, processing and marketing to maximise returns.
