Amagaju 2-2 Bugesera FC (Agg: 3-4)

APR FC booked their place in the 2026 Peace Cup quarterfinals after knocking out SC Kiyovu with a 2-0 aggregate victory in the Round of 16.

The army side's 2-0 first-leg advantage proved decisive, as a goalless draw in the second leg at Kigali Pele Stadium on Wednesday, March 4, was enough to see them through to the last eight.

Clear-cut chances were scarce throughout the return leg, with Adel Abderrahim's men managing the game professionally to secure progression. APR will now face Gasogi United, who eliminated Musanze FC with a 3-2 aggregate win on Tuesday.

AS Kigali Through on Away Goals

AS Kigali also advanced to the quarterfinals, edging out Marines FC on the away goals rule after a 1-1 draw in the second leg. The two sides had drawn 2-2 in the first leg in Rubavu.

The Citizens will now face either Muhazi United or Gorilla FC in the next round.

Etincelles Edge Mukura on Away Goals

Elsewhere, Etincelles FC, inspired by Abdu Bizimana, travelled to Kamena Stadium to defeat Mukura VS 3-2. The result saw Etincelles progress on the away goals rule after a 4-4 aggregate draw.

Mukura had won the first leg 2-1 in Rubavu, but Etincelles' away goals proved decisive. They will now meet Bugesera FC in the quarterfinals.

Bugesera advanced after beating Amagaju FC 2-1 in the second leg in Nyamata, sealing a 4-3 aggregate victory. The two teams had played out a 2-2 draw at Kamena Stadium in the first leg a fortnight earlier.
