Addis Ababa — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Lieutenant General Asrat Denero as Commissioner of the Addis Ababa Police Commission, effective March 11, 2026.
The Prime Minister also appointed Assistant Commissioner Tofik Meded as Deputy Commissioner of the Commission, , according to Office of the Prime Minister.
In a related appointment, Erziq Issa has also been named Deputy Commissioner of the Addis Ababa Police Commission.
