Sub-counties within Kyaggwe and Buddu counties have collectively contributed Shs 40,092,500 to fund various Kingdom initiatives.
In Buddu, contributions came from Kirumba 5, which donated Shs209,000; Mutuba 22 Kitanda, Shs7,100,000; and Mutuba 21 Lwabenge, Shs7,860,350.
Meanwhile, in Kyaggwe, Ssaabawaali Buyike contributed Shs 8,720,000, and Ssaabagabo Ngogwe donated Shs11,200,000.

Speaking on behalf of the Katikkiro at a ceremony held at the Buganda Kingdom headquarters in Bulange, Mengo, the Speaker of the Buganda Parliament, Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule, urged residents to see these contributions not as a tax but as a personal responsibility to support the Kabaka's vision for community development.
"The contribution is not a tax but the responsibility of every person of the Kabaka to support the community, as how one contributes reflects the example they set in their area," Mugumbule said.
He added that this fundraising is part of a broader effort to strengthen Buganda's foundations. He encouraged parents to actively participate in their children's education, uphold cultural norms and family values, and support initiatives that maintain traditional Buganda practices.
According to Mugumbule, the success of these programs heavily relies on the generosity and active participation of the people.
The Kingdom Minister of Local Government, Kabaka's Tours and Diaspora Affairs, Joseph Kawuki, noted that every leader is tasked with implementing programs to benefit their communities, reflecting work carried out over the past five years.
He said the Kabaka's officials are planning activities for 2026 and urged parents and local leaders to monitor school standards, supervise children's learning, and ensure accountability in the use of funds from the Kabaka Education Fund.
Kawuki also called on elected leaders to fulfill the promises made to their constituents and urged the Kabaka's officials to meticulously plan activities to ensure the people experience effective and accountable leadership.
The Deputy Pookino for the third division reinforced the need for parents to examine the quality of schools their children attend, warning that substandard institutions could negatively affect students' futures.
Villages contributing the most funds this period include Nkokonjeru (Ggombolola Ngogwe-Kyaggwe), Miwuula (Ggombolola Lwabenge-Buddu), Mpaama and Kiyindi in Ssaabawaali Buyikwe (Kyaggwe), and Musaale Buyiisa (Buddu).

The leading individual contributors were Namukomo from Ngogwe with Shs3,260,000, Makukuulu Shs2,600,000, Kibisi Shs2,324,000, Kiyindi Shs2,156,000, and Mumyuka Kyengeza Shs1,560,100.
These contributions reflect a continued commitment by the people of Buganda to support their cultural and governmental institutions, demonstrating unity and dedication to the Kabaka's development programs across the region.
