Rwanda: SC Kiyovu to Appoint Malik Wade As Haringingo Successor

Kiyovu SC are set to appoint El Hadji Malik Wade as their new head coach, replacing Francis Haringingo, who rejoined Rayon Sports earlier this week.

Haringingo informed Kiyovu of his decision to leave after agreeing to a move back to the Blues, who had been without a head coach since parting ways with Bruno Ferry.

The Green Baggies are now in advanced talks with Wade, who previously served as assistant coach before taking over as interim head coach during the 2024/25 season.

"We are in final talks with him and he could soon join the team. I can't share many details at the moment--let's wait a few days for the official announcement," a source at SC Kiyovu told Times Sport.

During his previous spell, the Mauritanian tactician played a key role in helping the club avoid relegation last season. However, his tenure ended controversially after he went absent without official leave before the end of the campaign. In May 2025, Kiyovu suspended him over alleged abandonment of duties.

SC Kiyovu currently sit sixth in the league standings with 39 points.
