Kenya: Ruto Urges Hope and Unity in Good Friday Message

Nairobi — As Christians across the world mark Good Friday today, President William Ruto has rallied Kenyans to hold on to hope, unity and faith despite life's challenges.

President Ruto in his message reflected on the meaning of Easter, saying the season reminds people that difficult moments do not last forever.

"As we remember the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, may this season remind us that after every trial, there is a resurrection and a new beginning," Ruto said.

The President spoke directly to families and individuals going through tough times, encouraging them to remain strong and hopeful.

"To every family, may the spirit of Easter bring joy and peace. To every weary heart, may it bring hope and renewed faith," he added.

President Ruto also used the opportunity to call for national unity, stressing the need for love and togetherness among Kenyans during the Easter period.

"And to our beloved nation Kenya, may it bring strength of unity and love. May God bless your families, may God bless Kenya," he said.

His message comes at a time when many Kenyans are facing economic and social pressures.

Christians mark Good Friday as the day Jesus Christ was crucified, ahead of Easter Sunday which celebrates his resurrection, a symbol of victory, renewal and new beginnings in the Christian faith.
