An online blogger, identified as Ronald Mulwana, who operated a TikTok account under the name PL on TV, is feared dead after being knocked down by a Toyota Hiace van transporting Christopher Okello, the suspect in the murder of four children in Ggaba.

The incident occurred as the vehicle approached the venue of a mobile court session where Okello was expected to appear.

The Uganda Prisons Service van, registration number UU 00067, was reversing at a slope when its brakes appeared to suddenly fail.

A video clip recorded of the incident shows security personnel jump out of its way as it reversed dangerously. The van grounds to a halt down the slope, but only after running over Ronald Mulwana.

Mulwana, whose body was dragged underneath before emerging at the front of the vehicle, sustained serious head injuries and lost consciousness at the scene. He was rushed to hospital by a Uganda Police vehicle as colleagues looked on in shock.

At the time of the incident, court proceedings had not yet commenced, with officials still preparing the venue for the session.

The condition of the blogger had not been officially confirmed by press time.
