Africa: Ali Forder Joins Global Witness As Interim CEO

press release

Ali Forder has joined Global Witness in the role of Interim CEO following the announcement that Mike Davis has decided to step down. Ali will lead the organisation while recruitment of a new permanent CEO takes place.

Ali brings more than 15 years of senior leadership experience across the charity and public sectors. Her career spans senior roles at Save the Children UK and the UK Government's then Department for International Development. She has lived and worked in Kosovo, Bangladesh, Ethiopia and Uganda.

Ali said: "I feel privileged to be joining the incredibly talented team at Global Witness as Interim CEO and am excited to work with them over the next few months. As wealth and power become more concentrated with those who are enabling the climate crisis, the investigative and campaigning work of Global Witness and its partners is more urgent and important than ever."
