Alhashimiyah, widely recognised for its Hajj and Umrah services, has distinguished itself by prioritising pilgrims with special needs, including the elderly, blind and disabled.
The company says its commitment to ensuring a hassle-free spiritual journey has set it apart from other Hajj operators in the country.
Speaking at the send-off, Sheikh Swaleh Kiggundu, Managing Director of Alhashimiyah Hajj and Umrah Services, described the partnership with Salam TV as strategic.
"We joined Salam TV's Road to Makkah campaign to easily disseminate information about Hajj and Umrah services to all Ugandans and those abroad since Salam TV has wider coverage," Sheikh Kiggundu said.
"We also intentionally wanted to help people get a chance of knowing the historical sites in Makkah and Madinah that very many people may not be knowing."
He urged the 2026 pilgrims to perform every Hajj ritual diligently, noting that many may not get another opportunity to return to the sacred sites.
Hajj Fadhir Ali Haroon, Operations and Financial Controller of Alhashimiyah, reminded pilgrims to observe time as their journey begins on May 11, 2026.
He also called for discipline during the pilgrimage, noting that participants will interact with diverse groups from different backgrounds.
Guest of honour Hajji Karim Kaliisa told the pilgrims they are "guests of Allah" and should be grateful for the opportunity to visit His holy house. He advised them to strengthen family bonds and reconcile any conflicts before departure.
He also encouraged Muslims to remain productive and purposeful. "It is through small consistent efforts, not sitting idle at home, that we can achieve what we aspire to," he said.
In appreciation of his role in the Road to Makkah campaign, Alhashimiyah presented a gift to Hajji Karim Kaliisa.
The initiative has enabled many Muslims locally and abroad to access information about Hajj and Umrah through Salam TV and its digital platforms.
Alhashimiyah reaffirmed its commitment to providing stress-free Hajj and Umrah experiences, describing itself as "the only Hajj and Umrah company where challenges are opportunities."
