Rwanda: Rayon Target Muhanga Win to Close Gap Wednesday Fixtures

Rayon Sports will be targeting victory over AS Muhanga as they look to close the gap on Al Hilal and APR FC who are leading the standings of the BK Pro League. The Blue will be coming up against AS Muhanga on Wednesday at Muhanga Stadium.

Rayon Sports are fourth with 48 points. APR, who sit second on the table with 56 points, face leaders Al Hilal on Thursday.

Ahead of the game, Rayon Sports head coach Francis Haringingo has warned his players to expect a tough test against a tricky AS Muhanga side playing at home.

"We have to be consistent and give our best in every match because we need to win this kind of match," he said.

"As Muhanga is a very tricky team, we need to be ready. I know they have been causing problems, but we are ready," he added.

AS Muhanga sit 18th in the league. Rayon Sports have dominated the head-to-head record against them, including a 2-0 win in January 2026.

AS Muhanga coach Moussa Gatera believes the match offers his side a crucial opportunity to boost their hopes against relegation.

"This is a great chance to get three points and see if we can remain in the top division," he said.
