Kenya: One Feared Trapped After Six-Storey Building Collapses in Tom Mboya Estate, Kisumu

Kisumu — One person is feared trapped after a six-storey building collapsed on Monday evening in Tom Mboya Estate, triggering a major rescue operation.

According to preliminary reports, one person was rescued from the rubble and rushed to safety as emergency response teams intensified search and rescue efforts at the scene.

Firefighters, medical personnel, and disaster response teams are currently combing through the debris in search of any additional survivors who may still be trapped beneath the collapsed structure.

Authorities have since cordoned off the area to allow rescue operations to proceed smoothly and to protect residents and onlookers from potential danger.

The cause of the collapse has not yet been established.
