Angolan Poet Releases Book in Brazil

Luanda — Angolan writer "Poeta Falso" recently released his book entitled "Sorriso não é felicidade" (A Smile is not happiness), in Brazil, thus marking a new stage in his career and strengthening the presence of Angolan literature abroad.

The book, comprising 100 pages, reveals the weight of romantic disappointments, family and social difficulties, accumulated debts, and the pain of seeing a sick mother without access to medical assistance.

According to the author, who was speaking to ANGOP on Tuesday, the book has been widely disseminated in the Brazilian market both in physical and digital formats, through Caravana Grupo Editorial, a publishing house that decided to support him due to the quality and relevance of his literary work.

"From Angola, I realized that the publishing house use to analyze texts from other countries. I gathered the material and sent it. Several times I saw my works being rejected, but last year, I received approval and the news that my book would be published", he explained.

The writer, who now has a contract with the Caravana Grupo Editorial, added that the publication process required persistence and confidence in his work.

Poeta Falso stated that he is happy with the publication of the work in the Brazilian market, considering this moment an important achievement in his literary career.

He said he saw Brazil as a gateway to his literary dreams, an opportunity to expand his work, reach new readers, and showcase his artistic identity beyond the country's borders.

The writer considered the act very positive for Angola because it shows that Angolan youth have the potential to gain space in the international literary scene.

"More than publishing a book, I want to inspire other people to never give up on their dreams, regardless of the difficulties, lack of support, or closed doors", he emphasized.

He added that he will do everything possible to launch the book in Angola in the near future.
