Buganda Kingdom Minister for Lukiiko, Information, Cabinet Affairs, and Protocol Noah Kiyimba has called on county chiefs and kingdom leaders to warmly welcome all subjects of the Kabaka regardless of their background, political affiliation, or place of residence.
Kiyimba made the remarks at the Bulange headquarters in Mengo during a ceremony where he officially received more than Shs37 million collected from several counties and administrative divisions, including Salongo, Buddu, Bulemeezi, Butambala, and Kyaggwe.
Speaking during the event, Kiyimba stressed that all development programmes initiated by the Buganda Kingdom are inclusive and intended to benefit every person under the leadership of the Kabaka.
"In all the Kingdom's programs, including this fundraising initiative, we do not discriminate among the Kabaka's people. Anyone who recognizes the Kabaka as their father is welcome. We urge all kingdom chiefs and leaders not to segregate people because every person in Uganda is a subject of the Kabaka, and therefore we must move forward together," he said.

Kiyimba also used the occasion to remind residents about the Kingdom's "Situla Omutindo" socio-economic empowerment initiative, noting that coffee growing remains one of its key pillars for wealth creation and poverty eradication.
"We all know that the Kingdom launched the 'Situla Omutindo' initiative. I would like to emphasize again that this program strongly promotes coffee farming. We therefore encourage people to invest more energy in growing coffee, as the Kabaka has consistently urged us," he said.
The minister appealed to communities to use land productively instead of selling it off, particularly urging unemployed youth and families to embrace income-generating activities such as coffee cultivation.
"Instead of selling land, people should use it productively to improve their livelihoods and support their families," he added.
As schools prepare to reopen, Kiyimba urged parents to ensure children return to school and continue with their education uninterrupted. He also tasked county and parish kingdom officials with following up on families that have neglected children's education.
"Children are returning to school, and parents must remain committed to educating them. Kingdom leaders should reach out to parents who have abandoned their responsibilities so that every child gets the opportunity to study," he said.
Deo Mukwenda Kagimu, the Ssingo County Chief, encouraged residents to make better use of the resources available to them as a pathway to self-development and economic empowerment.

Meanwhile, Bukoto Mid-West MP Emmanuel Kiyimba commended Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga for completing 13 years in office, describing his leadership as instrumental in advancing the Kingdom's development agenda.
Kiyimba also reaffirmed his commitment to defending Buganda's five core demands during his current parliamentary term.
During the fundraising exercise, Musaale Wakyato Sub-county from Bulemeezi County emerged as the top contributor after presenting Shs8,045,500 toward the Kingdom initiative.
The fundraising drive forms part of ongoing efforts by the Buganda Kingdom to mobilize resources for community development, economic empowerment, and social transformation programmes across the region.
