Africa: Igaming Afrika Awards 2026 Crown Africa's Top Gaming Operators, Suppliers and Innovators

Nairobi — Africa's top gaming operators, suppliers, regulators and innovators took center stage at the inaugural iGaming AFRIKA Summit Awards 2026, with industry leaders crowned across 25 competitive categories during a glittering gala at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Nairobi.

The awards ceremony, held as the climax of the iGaming AFRIKA Summit 2026, celebrated excellence in sports betting, casino gaming, affiliate marketing, payments, responsible gambling and corporate social responsibility, underscoring the rapid evolution of Africa's digital gaming ecosystem.

Hosted by Kenyan media personalities Maina Chege and Nyawira Maina, the event brought together gaming executives, regulators and technology providers from across the continent for what organisers described as a landmark moment for the African gaming sector.

Opening the ceremony, iGaming AFRIKA Founder and CEO Jeremiah Maangi praised all shortlisted nominees, saying the recognition reflected the growing maturity of Africa's gaming industry.

"You are all winners; we just had to choose one winner per category. Congratulations to all the different teams receiving awards tonight," Maangi said.

Among the headline winners, Betway Africa clinched the Sports Betting Operator of the Year award, while OddsMatrix by EveryMatrix emerged as Sports Betting Supplier of the Year. SportPesa secured the Overall Corporate Social Responsibility Award, highlighting increasing industry focus on community impact and responsible gaming initiatives.

In the casino segment, Sun City Casino of South Africa was named Casino of the Year, while Mozzart Casino won Online Casino of the Year. EGT Digital took home the Casino Supplier of the Year accolade.

The affiliate and marketing categories also drew significant attention, with Affilka by SOFTSWISS winning Affiliate Platform of the Year and 22Bet Partners named Affiliate Program of the Year. SportyBet's "Play with Champions" campaign secured Marketing Campaign of the Year honours.

Emerging technologies and innovation were also recognised during the awards, with TaDa Gaming winning Emerging Provider of the Year and BetConstruct taking the Platform Provider of the Year title. Flexifai was named Payment Service Provider of the Year, reflecting the growing importance of seamless fintech integration within Africa's gaming industry.

Individual honours featured prominently during the evening, with Betika CEO Mutua Mutava winning CEO of the Year, while Lois Bright, founder of Women in Gaming Africa, and AGOK CEO John Mutua earned the Female and Male Person of the Year awards respectively.

Responsible gambling and regulatory excellence also featured strongly among the categories, with Denis Mudene of Uganda's National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board receiving the Rising Star in Responsible Gambling award, while the Association of Nigerian Bookmakers won the Fairplay Organization of the Year recognition.

Organisers said the inaugural summit marked the beginning of a new era of collaboration, innovation and investment across Africa's rapidly expanding gaming market.
