Tunis, June 21 — Tunisia were eliminated from the FIFA World Cup 2026 after suffering a 0-4 defeat to Japan on Sunday in a second Group F game in Monterrey, Mexico.
Goals were scored by Daichi Kamada (4'), Ayase Ueda (31', 83') and Junya Ito (69').
At the end of day-2 games, the Netherlands top rankings (4 points) ahead of Japan (2nd) and sweden (3rd). Tunisia are at the last place with 0 points.
Tunisia will face the Netherlands in their third and final group stage game on June 26.
