Nairobi — Missing activist Davis Lichuma has been found alive after allegedly being abducted, tortured and abandoned at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), according to the Social Justice Centres Working Group.
The organization said Lichuma was discovered in critical condition and later transferred to Nairobi Women's Hospital for specialized treatment.
His reappearance comes days after he was reported missing following protests near Parliament buildings in Nairobi.

According to fellow activists, Lichuma was among seven people allegedly picked up during the demonstrations and taken to an undisclosed location where they were tortured.
Six of the activists were later reportedly dumped along Lang'ata Road on Saturday morning with injuries consistent with beatings.
However, Lichuma remained missing until reports emerged that he had been abandoned at KNH while in critical condition.
The Social Justice Centres Working Group condemned the alleged abduction and torture, demanding immediate investigations and accountability.
"We will not accept silence, cover-ups or excuses," the group said in a statement.
The organization further questioned who allegedly abducted the activist, where he had been held and who ordered the alleged torture.
Lichuma was reportedly unable to clearly explain where he had been during the days he was missing.
The incident has intensified concerns among human rights organizations over alleged enforced disappearances and abuse linked to recent protests.
Earlier, the National Police Service confirmed receiving a missing person report concerning Lichuma at Central Police Station in Nairobi.
Police spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga said allegations of enforced disappearances and torture would be investigated thoroughly, professionally and impartially.
Authorities had not immediately issued fresh comments regarding the latest claims surrounding Lichuma's condition and alleged torture.
