BACKGROUND
The African Development Bank Group, through the Financial Sector Development Department (PIFD) and the Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility (ADFI), agreed to partner with the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) and the Government of Luxembourg, to organise the 9th Edition of Catapult: Inclusion Africa, which will involve two one-week bootcamps, in Abidjan (June 2026) and in Luxembourg (November 2026).
CATAPULT : INCLUSION AFRICA FINTECH BOOTCAMP
Catapult: Inclusion Africa offers training, networking, mentoring and investor exposure to selected African startups and fintech innovators to help address these issues. The program also connects the startups with global experts and financial partners. Alumni benefit from ongoing support, resources, and guidance from the LHoFT to drive continued success. The past eight editions of Catapult: Inclusion Africa have supported 84 fintechs from 25 countries, subsectors including AgriTech, Big data and AI, Insurtech, Lending, Digital Banking and Payments.
- Opening session: 29 June 2026 including "soft" launch with participation from the African Development Bank (including ED Kipping, PIFD1/ADFI) and LHoFT
- Bootcamp training: 29 June - 2 July 2026
- Closing session: 3 July 2026. Panel discussions with bootcamp trainers/experts, high level participation from Luxembourg Min. Finance, Government of Ivory Coast, AfDB PIFD, LHoFT and PIFD1 with in-person attendance and announcement of selected fintechs for one-week bootcamp in Luxembourg in November 2026.
The opening and closing sessions will include participation from the African Development Bank Group management and representatives of the Luxembourg Government, as well as training experts from the bootcamp and key local stakeholders within and supporting the fintech sector.
