South Africa: Tyla Lands in Portugal With Roc Nation Now in Her Corner

  • South African star Tyla headlines Afro Nation Portugal from 3 to 5 July, performing in Portimão alongside Wizkid and Asake.
  • Roc Nation named Tyla as its newest signee on 1 July with a Times Square billboard, after leaving Epic Records.

Tyla takes the stage at Afro Nation Portugal from 3 to 5 July, days after Roc Nation named her as the newest artist on its books.

Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z, unveiled Tyla with a digital billboard in New York's Times Square on 1 July. The move comes after Tyla ended her deal with Epic Records, the label she signed with in 2021.

Multiple reports describe the new deal as multi-million-dollar and global. Neither Tyla nor Roc Nation have released a statement confirming the terms.
