Namibia: Toini Hausiku Dies

Retired politician Toini Hausiku, a prominent member of the Swapo Party and widow of the late liberation icon and former deputy prime minister Marco Hausiku, has died.

Her family confirmed that she died in a Windhoek hospital on Sunday night.

Hausiku served as deputy mayor and a local authority councillor at the Rundu Town Council, where she made a significant contribution to local governance and municipal leadership. She also served on the council's management committee. -Nampa
