He explained that the annual event was established to deepen relations between Africa and Europe by using music and culture as tools to promote peace, tourism, trade, investment and sustainable development.

Yaw Stone said the festival would offer an international platform to showcase the richness and diversity of African and European music, arts and culture, while creating opportunities for business partnerships, networking and investment across the two continents.

A range of activities has been lined up for the three-day event. These include live performances by renowned African and European musicians, cultural exhibitions, traditional performances, tourism and investment promotion sessions, business networking forums, exhibitions of arts, crafts and fashion, as well as international media engagements and cultural exchange programmes.

As part of preparations, Yaw Stone announced the launch of the 'History Invites' initiative, which he said was designed to support promotion of the festival and encourage wider participation from stakeholders in the cultural and creative sectors.

He also disclosed that the official launch of the Euro-Africa International Music and Cultural Festival would be held on August 8, 2026, at the Gold Coast Restaurant and Lounge in Accra.

Yaw Stone commended the Ghanaian media for its role in public education and national development, describing journalists as key partners in promoting Ghana as a hub for culture, creativity, tourism and international collaboration.

He, therefore, appealed to journalists, corporate organisations, government agencies and other stakeholders to support the initiative, stressing that their involvement would be crucial in projecting the festival to the international community and ensuring its success.

Yaw Stone urged stakeholders to partner the organisers to make the festival a success, adding that music could be used to build bridges, promote understanding and create opportunities for people.

The Euro-Africa International Music and Cultural Festival is expected to bring together musicians, cultural practitioners, investors, tourism stakeholders and participants from across Africa and Europe.
